A new tavern is coming to Lakelands.
Construction is underway on the new pub, opposite the shopping centre, which will feature a dining area, a dedicated sports bar, a beer garden and a drive-through bottle shop.
Owned and operated by The Gastevski Group, the tavern is set to be completed by the end of this year.
Over 100 jobs are expected to be created during construction and over 60 once the tavern is open.
Lakelands Shopping Centre Manager Amanda Clarke said the tavern will bring a new wave of food, music and entertainment to Lakelands residents.
“We cannot wait to bring this new facility to the community of Lakelands," Ms Clarke said.
"It’s been a hot topic for some time now and we couldn’t be happier with the final design. It’s definitely going to transform our dining precinct.
“The tavern is owned by a well-known WA family who also own a number of iconic venues across WA, including The Landing – Alkimos most recently. We’re so excited to work closely with the Gastevski Group to bring the Lakelands Tavern to life.”
