The daughter of a man who was allegedly stabbed to death in East Rockingham says she could not have asked for a better father.
Cameron Lee was allegedly found with stab wounds at the intersection of Mandurah Road and Chesterfield Road about 7.30pm on Friday.
The 44-year-old was rushed to Rockingham General Hospital but sadly could not be saved.
A Hyundai Getz, believed to be connected to the incident, was later found burnt out on Pitman Road in Byford.
On Sunday, police confirmed a 46-year-old Byford man had been charged with murder.
Travis John Scorer fronted the Joondalup Magistrates Court and did not apply for bail.
He will remain behind bars until his next court appearance later this month.
Mr Lee's daughter Shiann took to social media to pay tribute to her father.
"The past year we have become really close and I’m glad we did, we may have had our ups and downs but you never gave up on me, every time I needed you, you were always there you had my back you helped me when I needed it the most," she wrote in a Facebook post.
"It breaks me to pieces losing you it’s like my whole word had ended I honestly feel like I’m still in a dream a dream that’s never ending I’m still in shock I don’t know what to do with myself now I’m truly lost, I’m hurt, I’m F**KING ANGRY, I’m truly lost, I want answers and I want them now.
"I will fight till the day I die for you father I will not stop until you get justice!!!
"Forever in my heart my beautiful father may god look after you in heaven may you rest in peace party hard up there dad I love you -your one and only daughter shiann."
