A driver has been charged over an horrific crash in the Perth CBD that claimed the life of a 71-year-old man.
Around 6.25pm on Friday, a Land Rover sedan was travelling south on Pier Street when it mounted the footpath near Murray Street and struck a parked Toyota Corolla.

A 71-year-old man died from his injuries at the scene.
Three other pedestrians, two men in their 20s and a man in his 40s, were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the Land Rover, a 60-year-old man from Walebing, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and no authority to drive (suspended).
He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
Major Crash investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen the crash, or who saw the Land Rover travelling in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
