A 26-year-old man has been charged after a woman and child were seriously injured in a crash earlier this year.
A 32-year-old woman and her three and a half year old son received life threatening injuries during a crash in Oakford in April this year.
As a result of investigations, police have now charged a 28-year-old man with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and two counts of Dangerous Driving occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm.
It will be alleged that on April 21 at the intersection of Abernethy Road and Kargotich Road in Oakford, a Ford Falcon sedan being driven by the man failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a Toyota Camry with four occupants.
The female victim, who was a passenger of the Camry, and son received life threatening injuries.
The male driver of the Camry, who is from Wickham, and a 10-month-old child passenger were not injured.
He is next due to appear in the Karratha Magistrates Court in October.
