The C-Wise Dwellingup 100 and Mighty Jarrah Trail Run has been announced as a finalist for the 2024 Sport West WA Sport Awards.
Named in the Community Sporting Event of the Year category, the recognition highlights the significant impact the event has had on the Western
Australian sporting landscape, fostering community engagement, promoting active lifestyles, and showcasing the natural beauty of the Dwellingup region.
Now in its 16th year, the C-Wise Dwellingup 100 and Mighty Jarrah Trail Run is renowned as one of the premier marathon mountain bike events in Australia.
The event attracts participants from across the country, offering a range of challenges set against the backdrop of the Jarrah forests.
Organised by The Even Team, the event has grown exponentially since its inception in 2009, providing an inclusive, family-friendly experience that encourages participation at all levels – from elite athletes to first-time mountain bikers and trail runners.
In addition to the race itself, the event contributes significantly to local tourism, hospitality, and economic development, bringing thousands of visitors to the region annually.
“It’s an honour to be nominated for such a prestigious award. The C-Wise Dwellingup 100 and Mighty Jarrah Trail Run has become more than just a race – it’s a celebration of our community and our environment," Event Director David Budge said.
"We are proud to bring people together from all walks of life to enjoy the great outdoors, challenge themselves, and experience the beauty of the Dwellingup trails.
"This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, volunteers, participants, and supporters who make this event possible.”
The Sport West WA Sport Awards, which recognise excellence in Western Australian sport, will take place in early 2025, with the winners to be announced at the annual ceremony.
