Organisations are invited to apply to become the exclusive naming rights sponsor for Western Australia’s fleet of emergency rescue helicopters.
Funded by the State Government and managed by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), the emergency rescue helicopters perform hundreds of lifesaving missions each year to help people who need urgent rescue, evacuation and medical care.
A suite of promotional opportunities will see the sponsor’s name and brand become synonymous with a trusted service that has been saving lives in WA since 2003.
Fire and Emergency Services Commissioner Darren Klemm said the service was designed and delivered to save lives and keep the community safe.
“We are proud to manage WA’s only dedicated rescue helicopter service operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,” Commissioner Klemm said.
“Every second counts in an emergency and this vital service provides a lifeline for our community in times of need.”
Launching from bases in Perth and Bunbury, the two helicopters operate around the clock to respond to a range of emergencies and traumatic events.
Their highly trained crews assist people injured in road crashes, conduct search and rescue missions on land and at sea, and transfer seriously ill patients between medical facilities.
Commissioner Klemm said DFES was seeking to partner with a sponsor who shared the Department’s vision of building resilient communities.
“This is an unparalleled opportunity for a community-minded organisation join us in putting the community first and working together to keep Western Australians safe,” he said.
