The final boiler at the old Kwinana Power Station has come crashing to the ground with residents reporting to feel the blast from kilometres away.
The series of small explosives were detonated just after 9am on Sunday bringing down the boiler in a matter of seconds.
People in Kwinana, Rockingham and Baldivis and as far as Leeming, Harrisdale, Oakford and Roleystone said they felt the blast which rattled homes and windows.
The old power station is being decommissioned to make way for a major renewable energy hub.
The old coal-fired power station was built in 1970s and was in operation until 2015.
