Young people in the City of Rockingham are encouraged to take part in a free sporting program.
The City of Rockingham's Nightfields Program kicks off tomorrow afternoon.
It's a free sporting program which runs for six weeks and is tailored for 10 - 18 year olds.
The program will feature a variety of sports including AFL, rugby and cricket.
City of Rockingham mayor Barry Sammels says this is an opportunity for young people to connect and engage with a number of different sports.
"Not only do participants get the chance to boost their fitness in a family-friendly environment, they will also have the chance to experience playing new sports and form new friendships," he said.
There is still one sporting code yet to be decided, and Mr Sammels is encouraging any local sporting groups or coaches to come forward.
"Sporting groups that get involved are able to help young people in the community and also enhance their own clubs' prospects of increasing membership signups later on in the year," he said.
The Nightfields Program starts tomorrow at Warnbro Oval from 3:30pm, and will run each Thursday for the next six weeks.
