Local residents are invited to attend the Rockingham Arts Centre Open Day on Sunday 25 August 2019.
Visitors will get the chance to learn more about the community art workshop program, participate in free art activities and have the chance to see the centre's hireable spaces.
Art activities include paint marbling, raffia weaving, Chinese calligraphy and self-portraits, with a dedicated kids zone where children can create a colourful mask, make their dad a sand art card for Father's Day and get their face painted.
There will be the 'More Smalls' exhibition in the gallery presented by Rockingham Regional Arts Inc., while the Friends of the Rockingham Art Community will present ceramic demonstrations as well as a mini book fair.
City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged residents to head down to the Open Day and get involved in the wide range of activities.
“The Rockingham Arts Centre has grown to be the hub for arts and culture in our City and gives many talented artists a platform to showcase their outstanding work,” Mayor Sammels said.
“The Open Day at the centre has a range of exciting activities for visitors of all ages and the City encourages anyone interested in the arts to make sure they visit and join in the fun.”
