The Gang Crime Squad are ramping up their investigation after a man was found dumped at the Rockingham Hospital emergency department last month with gunshot wounds and burns.
The 51-year-old, who has links to the ‘Comanchero’ outlaw motorcycle gang, was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital following the May 15 incident, which police said was a targeted attack.
He had gunshot wounds to his thigh and shoulder and his gang-related tattoos had been burnt off.
The man has since been released from hospital and is recovering from the injuries he sustained.
Detectives have released CCTV footage containing vehicles and people of interest.
They believe several people met at Aubin Grove Train Station before the shooting and swapped vehicles.
One of the vehicles, a white and grey dual-cab utility with the registration 1BFC417, was used to convey the man to a location where he was shot and burnt before the same car dropped him off at Rockingham Hospital.
The other vehicles are believed to be a black Nissan Navara and a white Hyundai Tucson.
Police would like to speak to the occupants as they may be able to assist with the investigation.
Detectives urge anyone with any information, anyone who recognises these vehicles, or anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the Rockingham area on Thursday, 15 May 2025, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
Reports to Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous.
“Our message to OMCGs and their supporters is clear. We will be relentless. Such acts of violence have no place within our community. We will not tolerate brutality, intimidation, or any other form of coercive or threatening behaviour," Detective Senior Sergeant Todd White said.
“Anyone engaging in this kind of behaviour, or thinking of engaging in this level of behaviour, will be caught, and you will be put before the courts to face the consequences of your actions.
“This is another clear reminder to the community that OMCGs are not harmless motorcycle clubs – they are violent criminal gangs causing harm and disruption across our country. Their actions undermine public safety and will not be tolerated.
“We will continue to use the full suite of powers at our disposal to bring this incident to a resolution, and to disrupt any violent and antisocial behaviour associated with OMCGs.”
