The girlfriend and housemates of a French backpacker who tested positive to COVID-19 have all returned negative results.
The unvaccinated man arrived in Western Australia from Queensland on December 12, an hour before WA's border arrangements with the state changed.
After developing symptoms, the man went to get tested and returned a positive result on Thursday, December 23.
His girlfriend and four housemates, who are all vaccinated, later returned negative results after undergoing rapid PCR tests.
They are all in hotel quarantine.
The backpacker spent 11 days in the community, visiting a number of nightclubs, restaurants, a museum and shopping centres.
