Despite finishing fourth on the show, Survivor's Luke Toki is only moments away from taking home the equivalent prize money - all thanks to a GoFundMe campaign.
The FIFO worker from Baldivis first appeared on the 2017 season of Survivor, known as the "King of the Jungle".
He returned to the screens as a favourite this year, but fans were left heartbroken when he was sent home on Monday night.
Toki's reason for chasing the $500,000 prize money was to support his two sons who are on the autism spectrum, as well as his baby daughter with cystic fibrosis who was born just six weeks before the show.
Within hours of his elimination, a GoFundMe page was set up in his honour.
On Wednesday morning, the page had already raised over $470,000 - less than $30,000 off of the show's prize money.
The man behind the fundraising page, Dave Skow wrote "true Survivor fans will recognise that he is the greatest Australian player ever to grace our screens."
"Leaving behind his young family, he had one aim - to take out the title of Sole Survivor and in turn, win $500k to provide a better life for them... So let’s rally behind this Aussie legend and change this awesome young family’s life."
On an update on the page, Mr Skow said the donations are "a real testament to the lasting impression that Luke has left on so many."
“The Toki’s have a challenging road ahead so limiting the amount we can raise is certainly not on the agenda... If we smash $500k, we will strive for $600k, then $700k and so on until this crazy ride comes to a natural end.”
