The married couple in their 70s took home the division one prize after purchasing a ticket from the Mandurah Greenfields Newsagency.
The husband and wife duo from Greenfields said they were delighted to have claimed last nights $1 million division one prize from Lotterywest.
The stunned wife, said she had to wipe her tears of joy off the winning ticket as she realised they’d struck riches by circling all six winning numbers.
“We definitely handed the ticket back and forth to one another a few times before deciding we weren’t seeing things,” she said.
“We’ll be living the rest of our lives very happily and with a big smile on our faces.”
On the couple’s bucket list was visiting relatives overseas, treating their kids and splurging on some home renovations.
“We won’t have to wait for the pension every fortnight,” the husband said.
“We’re going to buy brand spanking new items – new car, bed, even new gutters – why not?
“We’ll be giving the kids a fair chunk too.
“I hope they don’t expect anything more for Christmas!” he joked.
Meanwhile WA’s $10 million OZ Lotto ticket, sold at Clark’s Newsagency in Albany, remains unclaimed. The winning ticket scooped Tuesday’s night’s entire Division One jackpot.
Eight million dollars is up for grabs in tonight's jackpot, with experts watching closely to see if another winner from WA will claim the prize pool.
