A new guide has been launched to help parents across the Peel region understand social media.
ReachOut has partnered with Instagram to create the resource, which gives advice for protecting young people from bullying.
It also helps parents manage the amount of time their kids spend online, as well as control their privacy.
"We know that talking to young people about technology isn't always easy, so we're really hoping that local parents and carers can use our conversation starters and tips to begin these conversations with their teenagers," Reachout Australia chief executive Ashley de Silva said in a release.
The guide is available at https://parents.au.reachout.com/landing/parents-insta-guide.
