One lucky local is $20 million richer after claiming a share of Thursday night's $80 million Powerball jackpot.
Western Australia's winning ticket was purchased at Newsxpress Halls Head and was one of four division one wins across the country.
After checking the winning numbers on the night of the draw, the owner of the Slikpik 18 ticket reached out to Lotterywest on Friday to confirm their ticket is a winner.
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the ticketholder looks forward to visiting Lotterywest HQ in the coming weeks to claim their prize.
“This is a life-changing moment, and we can’t wait to welcome the winner into Lotterywest’s winners’ room and hear how they plan to enjoy their prize."
