Australian rock legends Hoodoo Gurus will headline Rockingham's 2019 New Year's Eve celebrations.
The event kicks off at 5pm on Tuesday December 31 at Churchill Park and includes live entertainment, children’s activities, food vendors and two rounds of fireworks.
Along with the Hoodoo Gurus, the line-up includes Chain Reaction, Rogue, Matt McCooey, Jake Hatch, Jasmine Atkins, Bec & Neil – Acoustic Duo and performers from the City’s Breakthrough Music Competition.
Early fireworks will light up the foreshore at 9pm, followed by another fireworks display at midnight to welcome 2020.
Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged residents to join in the celebrations on New Year’s Eve.
“The City’s New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Rockingham Beach Foreshore always make for a spectacular occasion, with thousands of families in attendance each year,” Mayor Sammels said.
“It’s an opportunity for the entire community to come together and reflect on another memorable year and also to acknowledge how fortunate we are to live in a beautiful area where the coast comes to life.
“With so many exciting activities planned, the City encourages visitors to head on down to the Rockingham Beach Foreshore and Rediscover Rockingham this New Year’s Eve."
Additional parking for the event will be available at the Village Green from 3pm.
Route 555 buses will run every eight minutes between 4pm – 6pm and every 15 minutes between 6pm – 1am
