Hundreds of people gathered at the Village Green in Rockingham on Saturday to watch a free outdoor musical theatre performance of The Wizard of Oz.
The Performance in the Park is part of the City’s Summer Series of free, family-friendly, smoke-free and alcohol-free events.
Before the main event the audience was entertained with special character appearances and stage performances from Disney favourites such as Cinderella, Ariel and Rapunzel.
Visitors were able to enjoy a variety of food and drink from vendors on-site with many also bringing their own picnic.
“Performance in the Park has grown significantly since it first began in 2018 and has quickly become a family favourite in the community,” City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels said.
“This free event provides a unique outdoor experience for Rockingham families to enjoy all the magical aspects of theatre in a family-friendly environment.
“The City hopes all community members who attended had an enjoyable evening and we thank them for enjoying the show in a responsible manner.”
The City is interested to hear feedback from those who attended the event. To provide your feedback visit https://culturecounts.cc/s/2jGXJK
