A Kwinana couple are one of five lucky Western Australian's to share in over $1 million after taking out a division one win in the weekend's Saturday Lotto draw.
The winning ticket was a syndicate created by Somes Newsagency in Fremantle and each member will walk away with a $215,673 prize.
Owner of the store, Lee Kokwai, was the man behind the winning numbers.
“They were a combination of my favourite numbers and some at random,” he said.
“Lots of my customers love to play syndicates because it increases your chances of winning and they like the thought of sharing the prize.”
The married couple from Kwinana were the first to claim their $215,673 share.
“We have been absolutely ecstatic since finding out the news,” they said.
“We’ve been playing syndicates with the same store for the last 10 years.
“For us, this win means we don’t have to worry financially and its enough to be comfortable.
“Maybe we’ll get an upgrade on our car too.”
Four of the shares remain unclaimed.
