Local residents are being urged to register as organ and tissue donors this DonateLife Week.
It comes as figures reveal just 39 per cent of people in the City of Mandurah are currently signed up to the Australian Organ Donor Register.
In the Shire of Murray, 41 per cent of the eligible population are registered while 37 per cent are registered in the City of Rockingham and just 30 per cent are registered in the City of Kwinana.

“DonateLife Week, is our national call to action — a chance for every Australian to help save lives," Ms White said.
“It only takes one minute to register as an organ and tissue donor at donatlife.gov.au or throughyour Medicare account. Then, tell your family you want to be a donor – you could save a life."
