A man subject to a return to prison warrant has been arrested in Pinjarra.
Officers tried to stop a Land Rover on Pinjarra Road around 11.05pm on Sunday to conduct a random breath test and licence check on the driver, but it allegedly sped off.
Police decided not to chase the vehicle for safety reasons after it was allegedly seen driving dangerously both on and off the road.
The driver was later arrested at a house in Pinjarra, linked to the Land Rover.
He did not hold a drivers licence, was subject to a return to prison warrant and was allegedly in possession of methylamphetamine.
The 28-year-old Pinjarra man has been charged with failing to stop, reckless driving, no authority to drive and possessing a prohibited drug.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
