A 27-year-old man has been arrested over the alleged brutal bashing of a woman inside her Atwell home.
The man allegedly broke into the property on Halcyon Way around 9am on Tuesday and assaulted the female occupant, leaving her with serious facial injuries.
The alleged attacker then fled but was arrested by police on Thursday afternoon in Nollarama.
It's alleged during his arrest, the man assaulted a police officer.
The 27-year-old from East Victoria Park has been charged with aggravated home burglary, aggravated robbery, assaulting a public officer and no authority to drive.
He will appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court today.
