A man has been attacked by a group of people after trying to stop the indecent assault of a woman at a Rockingham beach.
The male and female victims, who are both aged in their 20s, were at Rockingham Beach in the area of Flinders Lane around 4.30pm on Sunday when a group of people, believed to be made up of six men and a woman, walked past them.
One of the men from the group then indecently assaulted the woman, before the male she was with intervened.
He was then assaulted by the male members of the group and a short time later he was attacked a second time.
The pair then ran to safety.
The male victim was taken to Rockingham Hospital with several facial injuries.
