Child Abuse Squad detectives have charged a 31-year-old man over an alleged disturbing incident onboard a Transperth bus in Lakelands.
The man allegedly boarded the bus at Lakelands Train Station about 5pm on Wednesday, March 25 before allegedly exposing himself to a girl and making indecent comments towards her.
Several other children were also on the bus at the time.
"The bus driver became aware of the situation and stopped the bus. All occupants exited the bus except the 31-year-old man, who remained locked inside," a WA Police spokesperson said.
"The man was detained by Transperth security officers before police attended and apprehended him."
The Lakelands man has been charged with two counts of indecently dealing with a child over 13 and under 16 and one count of encouraging a child over 13 and under 16 to engage in sexual behaviour.
He will appear in court at a later date.
