A man has been charged after allegedly firing a homemade pen gun at a tree stump in a Kelmscott backyard.
The alleged shooting happened on Slee Avenue on Thursday April 11, putting nearby streets and Kelmscott Senior High School into lockdown.
The Tactical Response Group were called in and allegedly found the homemade gun at the property.
A 36-year-old man has been charged with discharging a firearm to the danger of or to cause fear to the public and possessing an unlicensed firearm.
He is due to appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court today.
