A man has died in a horror crash on the Kwinana Freeway in Lakelands.
Police say the man was driving a Nissan X-Trail towing a trailer on the freeway northbound near Lakes Road when he lost control and rolled the vehicle around midnight last night.
The car landed in the median strip, throwing the man into the southbound lanes of the freeway .
He was then hit by a Mitsubishi Pajero travelling south.
The 44-year-old man from Mandurah died at the scene.
The Kwinana Freeway between Pinjarra Road and Lakes Road was closed for several hours overnight while police investigated.
It has since reopened.
