One of Mandurah's oldest dolphins and her calf have been rescued after becoming stranded during low tides.
The pair were found in shallow water at Geogrup Lake at the weekend.
A rescue was carried out at first light on Sunday involving DBCA Marine Rangers, Estuary Guardians volunteers and members of the public.
"We are so thankful to the Marine Rangers who came as far as Marmion and Shoalwater to attend, along with everyone who was there and helped, under their direction," Estuary Guardians Mandurah said.
"After assistance, the dolphins were able to safely exit the Lake and were later seen swimming down the Serpentine River together.
"It was a complete privilege for everyone to be able to assist the Queen of our waterways and her calf to deeper waters."
Nicky has called Mandurah home for several years and is one of the oldest dolphins in the Peel region.
