Mandurah Police are urging locals to record the serial numbers of their valuable possessions after recently reuniting a stolen camper trailer with its owner after two years.
The $40,000 trailer was located and seized during a search warrant last month after it had been stolen from a home in Lake Coogee in March 2022.
Luckily, police were able to track down the owner and reunite him with the camper.
"Several family heirlooms were located still inside the trailer, including board games handed down by loving grandparents," a WA Police spokesperson said.
"This story serves as a timely reminder to owners.
"Always record the serial numbers and/or identifying features of your most valuable possessions.
"You never know it might be the thing which helps us bring them back to you."
