The City's of Mandurah and Rockingham have amended their proof of vaccination requirements for aquatic and recreation centres.
It comes after the State Government updated their vaccination rules at the weekend, with indoor pools now exempt.
From today, only those 16 and over who are accessing the gym and dry group fitness classes at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC) will be required to show proof of vaccination upon entry.
"Member entry will be deactivated on member fobs and reactivated once members have displayed their proof of vaccination to MARC staff," a City of Mandurah spokesperson said.
"This will mean you will only have to show your proof of vaccination once.
"Customers to the MARC do not need to show proof of vaccination when entering the indoor and outdoor pool area for any purpose," a City of Mandurah spokesperson said.
Indoor sport including basketball, squash, badminton, netball, futsal and volleyball on stadium courts and swimming lessons are exempt.
Meanwhile, those who use the pools at the Aqua Jetty in Warnbro will not be required to show their proof of vaccination, unless they are participating in Aqua Aerobics or Hydro Fit aquatic group fitness classes.
Proof of vaccination is still required to enter he gym, group fitness classes, the café and crèche.
The Autumn Centre will also require visitors to show proof of vaccination from 7am – 4pm on weekdays.
For events held outside the Centre’s business hours, specific event organisers will be required to ensure patrons are compliant.
Community based sports held at the Mike Barnett Sports Complex are also exempt.
