The good news keeps on rolling for WA, with a Monday Lotto Division One prize worth $1 million sold at Waterfront News, Gifts and Lottery Centre in Rockingham.
It was the only Division One prize produced across the nation to match the winning numbers 16,24,17,20,10 and 11.
David and Lian Mews have owned Waterfront News, Gifts and Lottery Centre for the past five years and said it was fantastic to land their first Division One winner.
“Nine times out of 10 it’s a regular player who buys a Monday Lotto ticket, so it would be great if this ticket has been sold to one of our locals,” Mr Mews said.
“If you recently bought a ticket from our store, our advice is to come on down and let’s see how we go.”
Meanwhile, a new set of numbers has seen a Perth family’s fortune change in the space of three weeks after picking up a Division One prize on the weekend.
The family picked a couple of numbers each as part of their weekly online Saturday Lotto ticket, which is now worth more than $812,000.
“We have only been using these numbers for three weeks,’ the winner said.
“My son loves statistics and he’s been running through the likelihood on how our numbers came up.
“We are still trying to get our head around what to do with the winnings.”
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said last night’s win was a sign of more good things to come as the State prepares for a huge week of jackpots.
“A combined $80 million is up for grabs, starting tonight with a $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot and then an incredible $50 million Powerball jackpot on Thursday,” she said.
Tickets are available until 6pm jackpot day in-store, online or through the app.
All available profits from Lotterywest tickets contribute to the COVID-19 Relief Fund which will help those in the community impacted.
