Over 2000 local football fans turned out to Peelwood Reserve in Halls Head on Sunday to watch Perth Glory take on Melbourne Victory in a pre-season clash.
Victory came away with a 1-0 win in the first of two games of the Regional South West tour.
The Glory dominated for most of the first half but it was Melbourne who kicked the one and only goal of the match three minutes into the second.
Perth head coach David Zdrilic said he was pretty impressed with his sides performance despite the loss.
"It was really interesting to see what level we're at and I thought that first half we were very dominant," he said.
"Pressing in a new structure I thought we caught them quite a few times early on, just weren't able to kill them off and get the finish that I think we deserved."
The two sides will meet again in the second game of the Regional South West Tour at Hay Park in Bunbury on Wednesday, September 24.
