A 20-year-old woman has been charged after allegedly leading police on a pursuit through Rockingham and surrounding suburbs.

Officers allegedly saw a stolen Toyota Landcruiser parked at the front of a home on Octans Court with a woman in the drivers seat around 9pm on Monday.

They then parked their car directly behind the stolen vehicle to stop it from moving, but the driver allegedly reversed the Landcruiser, deliberately ramming the front of the police car.

The woman then allegedly sped off, evading police through Rockingham, Cooloongup, Waikiki, Warnbro and Calista.

Police then deployed a stinger device at the intersection of Gilmore Avenue and Mandurah Road in East Rockingham which successfully deflated the tyres of the stolen Landcruiser.

The woman allegedly continued to drive on the wrong side of Gilmore Avenue even though the front tyre was shredded.

The chase eventually ended near the intersection of Ennis Avenue and Dixon Road when the stolen vehicle allegedly rammed two police cars.

The 20-year-old driver of no fixed address was removed from the car by police and later charged with a string of driving offences including reckless driving and no authority to drive.

She is due to appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
