A police chase has ended in Secret Harbour after the driver was allegedly involved in a hold-up at a tavern in Cooloongup overnight.
It is believed the man was involved in an alleged hold-up with two other men at Nags Head Tavern on Ennis Avenue just after 10pm on Monday.
Two of the men entered the tavern armed with a shotgun and a hammer, demanding cash from staff.
"Somehow, staff have apprehended those two men and waited for police to arrive," Seven News reporter Rebecca Nicholls said.
"The third man involved in the hold-up was behind the wheel of a car when he saw those two men being apprehended inside...he sped off."
The man then allegedly led police on a chase that ended on Secret Harbour Boulevard in Secret Harbour after he lost control and crashed into a tree.
The Mercedes Benz burst into flames, with local firefighters extinguishing the blaze.
The driver was arrested at the scene.
Charges are yet to be laid.
