Dwellingup Police are on the hunt for two boys over an alleged animal cruelty incident.
It is alleged the two young males were on a moped on McLarty Street around 3pm on Monday when they deliberately ran over a goanna that was crossing the road.
Witnesses told police the boys also allegedly threw rocks and sticks at the reptile.
The witness then took the goanna to a nearby wild life rescue.
Luckily it did not suffer serious injuries.
Police are asking locals to keep a lookout for a silver moped with a red stripe.
The rider was wearing a blue/silver helmet and the passenger was wearing a black helmet.
Anyone with information is asked to call Dwellingup Police on 95381057.
