Rockingham Detectives are investigating how a man received a gunshot wound.
The man, aged in his 20s, presented to Rockingham Hospital just before 11.30am on Monday with a gunshot wound to his lower leg.
He was then transferred to a Perth hospital where he underwent surgery.
“Inquiries into the matter are ongoing. There is no ongoing threat to the community," a WA Police spokesperson said.
