Major Crash Investigation Section officers are seeking information regarding a ‘hit and run’ crash in Warnbro in which a police officer was seriously injured.
The incident occurred last night, Wednesday 23 February 2022.
At about 6.10pm a male Senior Constable from the Traffic Enforcement Group was conducting traffic duties on Holcombe Road, near the intersection of Currie Street, when he attempted to stop a motorcycle.
The officer was struck by the motorcycle and received serious injuries. The motorcycle rider failed to stop and assist the injured officer. The injured officer was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance for treatment of his injuries.

Investigators are seeking information regarding the motorcycle and rider seen in this vision. It is believed this person may be able to assist with the investigation.
