Major Crash Investigators are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on Sunday 12th January 2020 on Forrest Highway near Binningup Road, Binningup.
About 3:50pm a silver coloured Nissan Pathfinder was travelling north on Forrest Highway when the vehicle rolled over numerous times. The 41-year old male driver and a 37-year-old female rear passenger died at the scene while five other passengers have been treated for various injuries sustained in the crash.
Their three children, all boys aged 3-months, three-years and six-years were conveyed to the Perth Children’s Hospital by the RAC Rescue helicopter. All have non-life threatening injuries.
The driver's parents were visiting from South America and were passengers in the car. A 69-year-old man was conveyed to Bunbury Hospital and his wife was taken by RAC Rescue helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital.
The deceased are Australian Citizens, originally from South American.
Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash camera footage of the crash or the driving behaviour of the Nissan prior to the crash.
