As the state government embarks on increased COVID testing for essential workers with DETECT Snapshot, Premier Mark McGowan has announced plans for Phase 3 of COVID restrictions to be in place by June 6
Phase 3 will look to increase the maximum number of crowd gatherings and spacing requirements:
- 4sqm rule will be reduced to 2sqm
- 20 person occupancy limit will increase to 100 people in hospitality
- Pubs will have alcohol served without meals but will still need to be seated
- Beauticians, gyms, museums, cinemas, theatres and parks to re-open
