WA Premier Mark McGowan offered his car to a family at Preston Beach after a boy was stung by a stingray over the long weekend.
The Premier arrived at the beach when he and his wife Sarah noticed a boy crying out in pain as his mother tried to help him.
Upon learning that 13-year-old Brodie Hill had been stung by a stingray he ran to get his car keys and brought his car around to get the boy and his mum Tenielle on their way to hospital.
Mr McGowan told 6PR's breakfast program that he remembers when his own brother was stung by a stingray he was so sick he was in hospital for around three weeks.
The Premier advised the family to get Brodie to hospital as quickly as they could, but was told their car tyres were flat from beach 4WDing.
Mr McGowan instantly offered the family his car, saying he didn't need it for the night.
Tenielle Hill drove Brodie to Harvey Hospital where he was treated.
