Rockingham residents can cool off as temperatures begin to rise.
Rockingham residents will again be able to cool off in the fast approaching warmer weather, after the Rockingham Aquatic Centre reopened its doors on September 17 for another season.
The facility will be open until April 18 2019 with a range of activities including swimming lessons, aquarobics, water polo and swimming squad training available.
City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged residents to head down to the pool to cool off as temperatures increase.
“The Rockingham Aquatic Centre is a fantastic place for families to have a swim, relax and cool off when the weather heats up,” he said.
“The grounds are an ideal location for a family outing, group or corporate functions, with plenty of shade, a children’s playground and free barbecues, so I encourage residents to visit the pool when it reopens.”
During the summer regular “Funday Sundays” are scheduled to take place at the centre, with families able to join in a range of activities including the use of monster-sized inflatable pool toys.
The 2018-2019 season will run on the following dates
· 4 November 2018
· 2 December 2018
· 6 January 2019
· 27 January 2019
· 3 February 2019
· 3 March 2019
The Rockingham Aquatic Centre is located on Council Avenue, opposite Careeba Oval.
