The sounds of the Perth Symphony Orchestra will fill the air at the Village Green in Rockingham on Saturday.
The City is set to host the Romance on the Green musical spectacular, as part of the Summer Series of free, family-friendly, smoke-free and alcohol-free events.
The audience can look forward to a variety of orchestra classics, musical theatre hits and rock anthems.
There will also be food trucks, face painting and mini golf for children to enjoy.
City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged the community to come and experience Romance on the Green.
“Since the City hosted its first Romance on the Green event, thousands of people have taken the opportunity to enjoy the talents of the Perth Symphony Orchestra as they deliver a stunning set live on stage,” Mayor Sammels said.
“This year concertgoers can expect to hear renditions of tunes from artists including Elton John and Queen as well as a variety of film and Broadway classics.
“So whatever your musical tastes, the City encourages you to come down to the Village Green to rediscover romance and rediscover Rockingham.
"With a wide range of accommodation, food, drink and eco-based adventures also available, it’s an ideal opportunity for visitors to spend an entire weekend exploring Rockingham.”
Parking will be available at the Gary Holland Community Centre and behind the Rockingham Museum.
Attendees are encouraged to utilise public transport, and as such, bus services on the 555 route will be extended until 10.30pm operating on their timetabled 15 minute frequency.
The event will run from 6pm – 9pm on Saturday February 22, 2020 at the Village Green.
