A 32-year-old rubbish truck driver has been charged over a crash in Cardup that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man.
Police say an Acco truck was travelling north on Hopkinson Road around 10.45am on Thursday when it turned right onto Orton Road and collided with a Holden Commodore travelling south on Hopkinson.
The 26-year-old driver of the Holden died at the scene while his passenger, a 25-year-old woman, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital.
The 32-year-old driver of the Acco truck was uninjured.
The Mirrabooka man has been charged with two counts of careless driving causing death, grievous bodily harm or bodily harm.
He is due to appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court on September 11.
