A man has suffered serious injuries following a crash in Safety Bay.
Police were called to the scene near the intersection of Malibu Road and Safety Bay Road around 12.55pm on Tuesday after a Holden Cruze slammed into a tree and flipped onto its side.
Firefighters had to free the trapped driver from the wreckage.
The man in his 40s was rushed to Rockingham Hospital with serious injuries before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.
Police are now looking for a male passenger who was seen fleeing the scene before emergency services arrived.
