A school of around 20 hammerhead sharks has been spotted off Point Peron Beach in Rockingham.
The Surf Life Saving helicopter sighted the sharks around 9.20am on Monday about 200 metres offshore.
They are between one and two metres in length.
Beachgoers are advised to be extra cautious when in the water.
