Police are investigating a fatal crash in Cape Burney near Geraldton that occurred yesterday morning.
At around 8am a Holden Barina was being driven north on Brand Highway.
A Toyota C-HR was being driven south on the same highway at the same time.
The two collided head-on about one kilometre south of Greenough River Road.
The 82-year-old male driver of the Holden Barina from Northampton died at the scene.
The female driver of the Toyota in her 50's was taken to Geraldton Regional Hospital with serious injuries, and was expected to be transferred to Perth due to the serious nature of her injuries.
