Firefighters have managed to extinguish a blaze that destroyed a second-storey unit on Hokin Street in Waikiki.
Emergency services received a triple-0 call around 12.15pm on Thursday after smoke was seen billowing from the unit above Warnbro Deli.
It took fire crews nearly two hours to put out the blaze.
It is believed no one was injured.
Fire Investigators are currently looking into what caused the fire.
A smoke alert was issued for people near Currie Street, Martell Street and Fendam Street.
