Secret Harbour man charged over alleged hit-and-run

A 27-year-old man has been charged over an alleged hit-and-run in Baldivis.

The man was allegedly driving a black Volkswagen Amarok utility when he struck a male pedestrian on Stakehill Road around 11.40am on Saturday, September 6.

The driver allegedly failed to stop and help the injured person.

The 47-year-old victim was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance for treatment. 

The accused was arrested a short time later.

The Secret Harbour man has been charged with one count of unlawful act or omission with intent to harm and one count of failing to stop and esure assistance after an incident occasioning bodily harm.

Investigators are appealing for dash-cam or mobile phone footage from anyone who may have passed a black Volkswagen Amarok with significant windscreen damage in the Baldivis area or been driving south on Old Mandurah Road on Saturday 6 September 2025.
