A Serpentine-Jarrahdale couple are the latest Lotto millionaires, taking home home $1 million this week.
The couple, who purchased their Millionaire Medley ticket online, had to wait until after the long weekend to check if their ticket was in fact a winner.
“I would have checked the ticket more than 100 times,” the woman in her 40’s said.
“Friday night was hard, we couldn’t sleep, I ended up cleaning the house just to distract myself.”
Fortunately, their worries were scrubbed away as their ticket matched the numbers to the $1 million prize.
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said it is always nice to see worry turn into joy in the Lotterywest Winner’s Room.
“For many of our winners, they want to hear the confirmation they’ve won from our Customer Service team in the Winner’s Room before the reality of the win sinks in,” he said.
“Thanks to this $1 million prize, these winners can take their weekends back and hopefully spend less time cleaning.”
