Armadale Detectives are investigating an incident that occurred about 12.30am this morning in Armadale.
A man approached a taxi at the taxi rank located at a shopping centre on Commerce Ave in Armadale and asked to be taken to an address.
Before the taxi departed, the man threatened the taxi driver with a syringe. The taxi driver managed to get out of the vehicle and the offender drove off in the stolen taxi.
A short time later the taxi was located abandoned on Mardi Court in Armadale.
