A 17-year-old boy has allegedly been stabbed to death following a party in Waikiki.
Police were called to Porpoise Grove around 11.30pm on Saturday after reports a teenager had suffered serious injuries.
He was rushed to Rockingham Hospital but died as a result of his injuries.
Police Commissioner Chris Dawson said they believe he had been at a nearby house party prior to the alleged stabbing.
“We understand that up to 100 young people were at that party,” he said.
“It appears that there was a very violent assault by a number of different people, a 17-year-old boy has lost his life.
“It apparently occurred on the street as a consequence of something that occurred in an around that party.”
Commissioner Dawson said they have a person in custody but charges are yet to be laid.
