Pop icon Vanessa Amorosi has been announced as the headline act at the Channel 7 Mandurah Crab Fest.
The City of Mandurah posted the news on their Facebook page on Friday morning.
"This far into her stellar career, Vanessa Amorosi remains one of the most exciting singers on the planet. Her song-writing & dynamic vocal range have seen the artist sell over two million records worldwide," the post read.
"She has released 7 commercially and critically acclaimed studio albums, received sixteen ARIA and APRA nominations, and stopped the world in it's tracks with her performance of ‘Heroes Live Forever’ and ‘Absolutely Everybody’ at the Sydney Olympics.
"2009 saw the release of platinum-selling ‘Hazardous’ with first single ‘This Is Who I Am’ debuting at #1 on the ARIA singles chart and achieved Double Platinum sales.
"Now Vanessa is back in the charts with her fourth Top 10 album, ‘City Of Angels,’ debuting at #1 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart, #7 on the ARIA Album Chart and #1 on the Independent Music Charts."
The Crab Fest, which has been cancelled for the past three years due to the COVID pandemic, will be held on March 18 and 19, 2023, with Amorosi headlining music acts on the 19th.
Other highlights include family entertainment, workshops and displays, a Kids’ Zone with a dedicated Children’s Stage, themed zones, and a smorgasbord of pop-up food stalls with delicious options for everyone.
